Könnt ihr euch noch an die Berliner Start-Up Karte erinnern? Aus dieser Karte ist inzwischen eine Karte für geworden, die viele deutsche Start-Ups in ganz Deutschland zeigt - mit über 28.000 Ansichten seit November letzten Jahres! Daher haben wir entschieden, der Karte einen Platz auf blog.de einzuräumen. Auf dass sie weiter wachse und gedeihe. Tragt bitte weiter fleissig Start-Ups ein, die noch nicht vertreten sind. Die Seite haben wir auch auf Englisch dargestellt, um auch ausländischen Gründern einen Überblick zu verschaffen, wo das Start-Up Fieber tobt, damit Deutschland noch mehr Gründer aus dem Ausland anzieht.

If oil powers population growth, then we reach population peak soon too?

I just looked at the the charts of peak oil production and population growth. I was confronted with the theory of oil fueling excessive population growth since the 1950´s. Makes you wonder what road world population is going to take. If population size is going to follow oil, then the road down is going to get nasty. A few billion people are not going to go away without making some noise.

Berlin Start-Up map

Just recently the founding team of a US startup visited us in Berlin to get an idea on where to set up their office. Whenever there are foreign founders here, they all want to understand the same thing: where are all the other Berlin startups located? Where can I bump into other founders? Where can I meet up with my peers for lunch? What´s a good spot?

So I used the time during the holidays to start a Berlin Startup map. It´s supposed to give foreign founders/companies and idea of where to locate. Please add Berlin startups to the list if they are not included and help make this map better. Thank you.

Adsense publisher share around 25%?

If I am not mistaken, I just heard Marissa Mayer say at LeWeb, that AdSense paid out 5bn USD to publishers last year. When I look at Google Consolidated Statements of Income 2008, revenues are little less than 22bn (21,795,550,000). So of 22bn, Google paid out 5bn? Am I missing something (i.e. cost) or is publisher share probably at around 25%?
