Today I lived through what was one of the hardest days in my life.
Today, for the first time ever, we had to lay people off. 7 people, roughly a third of the workforce. It is an incredibly hard thing to do. People come to work in your company because they love and live blogging, because they like what they see in us and they believe and trust you.
And then, you´re faced with a sudden financial crisis that very well promises to cut your revenues. Renowned venture capitalists start spreading their presentations and fellow entrepreneurs do what is unavoidable: they cut, and prepare their company for internet winter.
Despite the fact that we´re convinced to have done the right thing for the company, it just simply sucks.

Sowas ist hart und keiner möchte wohl mit Dir tauschen müssen, aber auf der anderen Seite tragt Ihr auch die Verantwortung für alles zusammen und auch das zählt.
